TORONTO, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ — Hold onto your hats partners, Jack
Lake Productions Inc. is on a roll. As the official publisher of Classics
Illustrated Comics, the spirit of Albert Kanter is alive and well with Jaak
Jarve. “Albert Kanter had a dream to provide meaningful, intelligent
literature to young people of his time,” says Jaak Jarve, President of Jack
Lake Productions Inc. “It is now my dream to offer this same high-quality
literature to children, parents and teachers today, providing a fresh
alternative to the comic books currently on the market. The CLASSICS
Illustrated JUNIOR(TM) books teach good old-fashioned values and nurture a
child’s imagination.” Jack and the Beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty, The Three
Little Pigs, and Little Red Riding Hood will be released in mid-February
2008.

Not only are Classics Illustrated Juniors available, but also the
legendary Classics Illustrated regular line of comics, too. “We have
printed nine titles to date, and by mid-April 2008, we should have
seventeen adaptations ready for distribution. Many older readers will
remember these from their childhood. The Three Musketeers, The Last of the
Mohicans, War Between the States (Special Issue), The Aeneid, Moby Dick,
and The Story of America (Special Issue) have been met with enthusiasm by
readers of all ages. We are particularly proud of War Between the States.

“Legendary comic artists like Jack Kirby, Dick Ayers, Sam Glanzman, and
George Evans produced exceptional art for this book. Horror fans will
appreciate Classics #26, Frankenstein, while #6, A Tale of Two Cities, will
capture the Dickens crowd.

“One of the most interesting things about Jack Lake Productions Inc.
taking on Classics Illustrated is that a Canadian company is continuing an
American tradition of excellence,” Jaak says. “We are committed to
releasing the entire line in North America and developing the world market
with global partners.”

Recently Jack Lake Productions Inc. acquired the services of Tim
Lasiuta as its International Marketing Director. Tim’s background includes
Comic Buyers Guide, Mad Magazine, Illustration Magazine, Moonstone Comics,
Silver Bullet Comics, Happy Harbor Comics, Penguin Comics, ComicZoneRadio
with Vince Zurzolo and True West Magazine as well as publishing two books
with a third on the way soon. His expertise in niche marketing and contacts
in the publishing industry will greatly increase the profile of Classics
Illustrated in today’s marketplace.

Since 2003, Jack Lake Productions Inc. has developed licensing partners
around the world and are continuing to look for partners in this Classics
Illustrated republishing quest. Like King Arthur and his noble knights, we
look for only those partners who are pure of heart, noble in deeds and
chaste in spirit. Pirates, robber barons and petty thieves need not apply.
