Comic-book heroes come to Runcorn

THERE haven’t been many superheroes in Runcorn – until now.
But Batman, Spider-Man, Superman and many others can now be found at their new home on the Manor Park Industrial Estate, after Diam- ond Comic Distrib- utors relocated its national distribution centre to the town.
The Baltimore-based business has completed its move into an 80,000 sq ft two-storey warehouse, known as Canalside. It signed a 10-year lease with North West developer Property Alliance Group for the property.
John Hitchen, Diamond Comic Distributors’ general manager, said: “Canalside provides us with a national depot comprising both administrative and storage space in an ideal location for distribution purposes.”
